SHIPPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In order to fully understand the Terms and Conditions of Shipment, we recommend that you carefully read the following information before shipping your vehicle.
 
  1. AutoPro Transport and its associates jointly and separately are authorized by the vehicle owner to operate and transport your vehicle between its origin location and its destination set forth on the invoice and to deliver the vehicle to the consignee at the specified destination. Carefully read the following information before shipping your vehicle.
 
  1. While your vehicle is in transit and in the custody of AutoPro Transport, or its agents, the vehicle must be covered under the owner’s insurance policy as mandated by provincial regulations through which the vehicle may be transported. While being shipped by Canadian rail companies and independent auto carriers, insurance is provided by these companies when they are involved in the shipping process. AutoPro Transport agrees to hold the vehicle under your insurance policy while in a storage facility for further shipment to its final destination, but liability is limited to the Cargo Insurance arrangements of our sub-Carriers and Agents while in transit as Cargo, in the event of train derailment, train fire, while being transported by Truck; and major auto collision. It is agreed that while the vehicle is being driven, to or from terminal locations by authorized AutoPro Transport agent’s, the owner’s insurance shall apply and be in force and cover any damages to the extent of that said policy’s limitations. The customer also acknowledges that any storage on AutoPro Transport Agent’s premises is provided under the Warehouseman’s Lien Act.
 
NOTE: AutoPro Transport does not cover the under carriage, interior, mechanical / electrical items, normal wear & tear of a vehicle, and all glass (windshield/windows) while your vehicle is being shipped. We disclaim any liability for normal road hazards, acts of God or any mechanical or structural defects. Your vehicle must be in good running condition and cannot be over 7 ft in height. Snow covered or excessively dirty vehicles will not be insured for scratches or dents that could be hidden at the time of shipment. All vehicles are subject to random searches by security/police. AutoPro Transport and it’s agents are not responsible for the condition of your vehicle after being searched.
 
  1. unless otherwise stated, AutoPro Transport will assume that the vehicle being shipped has been fully serviced, is fully insured, and is ready for shipment, and that the owner assures that there are no mechanical or structural defects exist to your vehicle which would in any way hinder the safe operation and/or transportation of the vehicle. The vehicle owner will make sure that the vehicle is maintained with sufficient permanent anti-freeze protection. Failure to do so will absolve AutoPro Transport from any liability in connection with damage to the engine or any other part of the vehicle and will be the responsibility of the vehicle owner or his/hers insurance. The gas tank should be half full, in order for us to run the vehicle for a period of time in preparation for the loading process. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for insufficient fuel in the tank. Please inform us of any special security features, starting instructions, or details pertinent to the handling of your vehicle. It is important to note that in some cases where a vehicle does not offer proper tie downs, the vehicle may be tied down by the frame or suspension components of the vehicle. We suggest that the vehicle be washed and waxed prior to shipment, in order to help protect the vehicle from the elements while in route. NOTE: Vehicles 20 years old and older are not insured while being shipped and are moved at the owner’s risk.
 
  1. The owner of the vehicle being shipped will be contacted by AutoPro Transport if any adjustments or repairs are needed to your vehicle in order to continue the shipment of the vehicle and will be the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. AutoPro Transport will impose a $50.00 service charge for any vehicle that becomes a non-runner while in our possession, and our insurance does not cover rental vehicles while your vehicle is being repaired. Quoted rates provided by AutoPro Transport do not include lubrication service, oil, maintenance, repairs or replacement parts. Also, all quoted rates do not include any special licenses, permits, caravan fees, or towing fees while shipping your vehicle in Canada.
 
  1. The owner agrees that AutoPro Transport and its agents are not responsible for any vehicle that has been modified from the original manufacture’s specifications. Also, we are not responsible for environmental pollution, exhaust systems, antennas, wheel alignments, emergency brakes, windshield chips, stone and paint chips, paint flaking, windows, wiring, mechanical or manufacturers’ defects, corroded parts, loose, or broken parts, after-market accessories, roof racks and storage containers, and items mounted on/under the dash. Personal and household items (including tires) are not permitted in the trunk or interior of your vehicle while it is being shipped due to strict security and safety shipping regulations
 
(NOTE: The owner is responsible for insuring that none of the following items are in the vehicle during shipment: personal belongings, household items, tires, narcotics, medication, ammunition, guns, money, articles of unusual value, contraband, negotiable and legal paper, gems or jewelry, objects of art, beer/wine/liquor, optical goods, live plants/animals, flammable goods, etc. If any personal items are left in the vehicle, you will be notified by AutoPro Transport, to have it removed before your vehicle will be shipped. If approval is given for an item(s) to remain in your vehicle, it will not be insured while in transit, and the vehicle owner will be solely responsible for the item(s). The only item that is allowed in the interior of your vehicle is a child seat/booster seat. Also only Emergency kits or booster cables can be placed in the trunk of your vehicle while being shipped. AutoPro Transport recommends that aftermarket keyless entry and alarm systems be disabled (if possible) before your vehicle is shipped
 
  1. Any claim for damage to your vehicle must be noted at the time of its release, and AutoPro Transport must be notified by email at info@autoprotransport.com within 48 hours of release if any claim for damage is pending. The owner of the vehicle will be sent the Claim Filing Procedure, which must be followed in order to receive any compensation. Items attached to the vehicle (other than authorized installed dealer items, aftermarket accessories, or equipment, which are damaged or stolen, will not be covered under any claim. AutoPro Transport imposes a $1,000.00 deductible on any claim that is submitted.
 
  1. AutoPro Transport and its agents are restricted, for safety reasons from travelling in residential areas and therefore prefer to pick-up vehicles in a commercial zone such as an auto dealer. However, the owner acknowledges that an authorized agent of AutoPro Transport can pick up/deliver the vehicle. Any damages that may result from the vehicle in transit becomes non running and requires to be pushed, pulled or towed on or off shipping equipment, are the sole responsibility of the owners and their insurer, not AutoPro Transport and its Agents.
 
  1. AutoPro Transport agrees to transport your vehicle in a quick, timely manner as per your instructions. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery time, and we do not pay for vehicle rentals, or other expenses, nor shall AutoPro Transport be liable for any non-use of your vehicle. All vehicles are shipped in the first available load (first come first served), and all rough timelines are Transit Times (while your vehicle is actually moving).
 
  1. Payment can be prepaid by direct deposit, money order, internet money transfer, or by certified cheque. All vehicles will not be shipped until the total amount of shipment has been paid in full. If any shipment is cancelled there will be a $350.00 cancelation fee charged, along with the 5% Administration Fee (if applicable). NOTE: there will be a 5% Administration Fee for all credit transactions (please call our office).
 
 
Limitations of Liability: AutoPro Transport and its agents will not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages. Including without limitations, loss of revenue or profits which are based upon, arose out of, or are connected with the contract, or anything done, or maintained hereunder of anything not done, or maintained as required hereunder, even if such damages are foreseeable. We are not liable for damages/delays in such performance by any events which are unavoidable or beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to Acts of God, Acts of the Queens enemies, floods, rockslides, snow slides, washouts, avalanches, storms, earthquakes, expropriation, fire or explosion, strikes, lockouts, walkouts, industrial disputes, war, sabotage, riot, insurrection, derailment, labor shortages, power or fuel shortages, or act of failure to act of any government or regulatory body. Snow covered or excessively dirty vehicles will not be insured for scratches or dents that could be hidden at the time of shipment. All Vehicles are subject to random searches by police. AutoPro Transport and its agents are not responsible for any vehicle(s) condition after being searched.
